Melbourne from Clem’s Island

The fact that a glorified bridge pylon with a cafe on it has managed to acquire ‘island’ status I must say I find bemusing.  Clem’s Island is a tiny man made block of concrete underneath one of the pylons that form Southbank footbridge the man pedestrian link across the Yarra River between Melbourne main train station, Flinders Street and Southbank Promenade.

Being such a well known landmark this bridge has been photographed innumerable times.  I have not seen another shot with the moon in it however, so I hope this aspect of the composition does give it some uniqueness.
